Linda Presnyakova - Artistic Director

Linda Presnyakova, ballet mistress, was trained in classical ballet by the Dance Academy and Ballet School of Moscow, Russia. She taught at the Moscow School of Ballet and was a dancer with the Moscow Conservatory Dance Troupe. She served as principal ballerina and received several awards for excellence. Linda received her degree in dance from the Hartford Conservatory and has since been employed by the Conservatory as ballet teacher in the certification program as well as in the general division. She has been teaching at Valley Ballet since the Fall of 1994.

Jennifer Hazen

Jennifer Hazen is a certified dance instructor with a degree in dance from the Hartford Conservatory. She has been a staff member and instructor for the renowned Earl Mosley Institute of Arts since 2005. Jennifer is co founder of "Danse Approach" a therapeutic approach to Dance, Technique, and alignment for injury prevention and performance enhancement. She is also a an integrated Nutritionist and Health Coach. Jennifer has choreographed for the Warner Stage Company and the Goshen Players as well a several Connecticut High Schools and has danced in several musicals

Gayle Micca - Guest Instructor

Gayle Micca, director, received her first classical ballet foundation with the Greensboro Civic Ballet and at the North Carolina School of the Arts. She graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1975. She continued her education in the Hartford Ballet Teacher Training Program and danced professionally for the Nutmeg Ballet Company and the Gallery Dancers of Litchfield, CT. She taught classes in Classical Ballet and Modern Dance at the Nutmeg Ballet and Torrington School of Ballet before opening Valley Ballet in 1980. Gayle is also certified as a professional trainer and a nutrition specialist and continues to update her dance education each summer with workshops, conferences, seminars and technique classes.

Victoria MurnoVictoria Murno

Torii Murno recently graduated from Seton Hill University with a Bachelors Degree in Science as a Dietetics Major. She is currently in the process of becoming a Registered Dietitian. Throughout her life, she has always been very passionate about dance. Over the years she studied ballet, tap, jazz, hip-hop, lyrical, pointe, ballroom, and modern dance. Torii received her advanced level training in Ballet at Valley Ballet from 2008-2010 and went on to teach elementary children's ballet at Seton Hill Dance Academy while attending college. Torii took her first Zumba class in 2011 and fell in love with this fitness program. Shortly after her first class she became Zumba fitness certified. There is nothing she enjoys more than sharing her passion for dance as a Zumba Instructor. Torii encourages everyone to try Zumba because it is perfect for all ages and every class feels like a party! Each class allows her fun, energetic, bubbly personality to shine through. No prior dance experience necessary. Just move your body and follow her lead. She looks forward to meeting you!!

Marisa MurrayMarisa Murray

Marisa Murray, licensed ZUMBA Fitness instructor, was born to a ballerina mother in Indonesia. Though dance was in her blood, Marisa found that Ballet was not for her. She began her journey in search of the dance style that best fit her which ultimately led to Zumba. Zumba classes at Valley Ballet & Dance Fitness fulfilled her passion for dance while also benefitting her health benefits in a fun and exciting way. Encouraged by others to become an instructor, Marisa found her calling. With a BA from University of Hartford in Graphic Design and an artistic talent Marisa found Zumba instruction to be a creative outlet. Marisa's
Zumba class features energetic creative dance choreography with a focus on
total fitness.

Paulette MenaPaulette Mena

Paulette Mena is a licensed Zumba and Zumba Strong Instructor and is a certified group fitness instructor (AFAA). Her passion is Fitness. With a degree in marketing from Saint Xavier University and years with Pitney Bowes, Paulette has recently changed her focus to fitness. Her Zumba classes are energy packed, and calorie blasting with a focus on dance moves, coordination, sculpting, and toning.
